Fortified edifice (12th - 18th centuries) in the middle of a town that no longer has its ramparts; strongly connected with the town's civic and religious history. Houses some very interesting items: an 18th century Baroque altar-piece, organ-case containing one of the finest instruments made by Cavaillé -Coll, Gothic stained glass windows at the south end.
