Up until the mid-20th century, the 12 stables had housed nearly 400 national studs. Now managed and coordinated under an intergovernmental initiative, this heritage site and 14-hectare equestrian park, the Haras Nationaux, is now at the heart of innovative regional equestrianism. Guided tours, events, exhibitions, equestrian sports, learning activities and breeding presentations are just a few of the ways you can discover man's greatest conquest. The Haras Nationaux continues with its mission of breeding thoroughbreds (around fifty national studs on site). It also houses an impressive collection of horse-drawn vehicles from the 19th century and a special harness room.
